Lab in Your Pocket platform is developed by Department of Applied Physics of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Extended mobile sensors and app are free to be reserved and leased to local schools for educational purposes.

This project is supported by QEF (2016/1098). The project team has cooperated with more than 20 local schools in pilot run.

Experiments

8 experiment modules are available for booking.

To appreciate the Gas Laws and investigate how temperature affects the air pressure inside a sealed tube with fixed volume, followed by an estimation of absolute zero – the lowest possible temperature.

To investigate the magnetic field strength of a solenoid with electric current flowing in it.

Mobirise

To investigate the relation V = IR and find the resistance of resistor.

To verify the rate of photosynthesis and respiration of plant in illuminated and dark environment.

To monitor environment such as temperature, light intensity, UV Index and air pollutant.

To investigate gravitational acceleration.

To investigate the equation of circular motion.

To investigate the simple harmonic (periodic) motion of a pendulum.
